My friend told me (Street Tag) is a fun easy way to get money and explore with friends. It made me go outside and walk with more enthusiasm.
I like that different tags had different points and loved that there were two of the 300 point tags in my local park. It motivates me to get out of the house whatever the weather.
My top tip would be to set the App to work in background mode and set your phone battery to Low Power mode so that Street Tag does not use up your phone battery too quickly! I have also started to cycle once a week during a power hour, something I had not done for probably 25 years! If it wasn't for street tag, I probably would not be cycling still!
Kept us walking to school down a familiar route and has given us structure and a routine to follow with our exercise.
The best part of Street Tag for us at Balliol School has been how excited the children have been to walk to school and take a longer route home then they usually would to rack up points!
I had a quick look at the leaderboard and I did feel quite pleased with myself and now I want to boost my points so I can get passed the Carrot team, wellyboot team and the Rodents. It's really good fun for all the family!
A fab initiative and partnership to encourage us to get out, move more and explore our local areas.
One way to encourage physical activity in our parks and green spaces while earning rewards for Castle Newnham PTA.
Street Tag has become the most used app on my phone! Me and my children love going out and collecting tags, finding new routes to walk together and watching our school go up the leaderboard! My children always want to know "when are we doing Power Hour?" Really fun way to keep active, love it!
Me, mum and the kids have signed up so we've all been walking around Bedford loads and setting up our Poly Tags and it's been great fun, doing our Power Hour and collecting tags for the kids school.
Street Tag has been amazing for engagement with the children. Lots of families have taken it up and our going around. We have seen a more positive attitude towards sports and towards wanting to be fit and outside which has boosted mental health. We have also seen the school coming together as one big community to battle the other schools in positive way of staying fit and exercising.
