The Five Principles of the UK Code for Sport

Be Active is an organisation that is dedicated to promoting and encouraging active lifestyles through sports and physical activities. As part of this commitment, Be Active has established a governance framework that adheres to the standards of the UK Code for Sport Governance, as published by Sport England. Be Active are committed to abiding by the standards of the UK Code for Sport Governance published by Sport England.

There are five principles to the code and we have set out below what those principles are and how we are working towards those principles.

Structure

Organisations shall have a clear and appropriate governance structure, led by a Board which is collectively responsible for the long-term success of the organisation and exclusively vested with the power to lead it. The Board shall be properly constituted, and shall operate effectively.
