About Bowls England Coaching Bursary
The provision of coaching to all players at all levels, but particularly new bowlers within our clubs, is vital to the long-term development of the sport of bowls. The Bowls England Coaching Bursary was introduced to assist members of affiliated clubs who wish to obtain a Coach Bowls qualification. This is a significant investment by Bowls England in the future of bowls coaching.
The Bowls England Coaching Bursary offers affiliated members 50 per cent of the cost of recognised Coach Bowls courses. Each application must be supported by the applicants club and the appointed administrator of the relevant County Association that is affiliated to Bowls England.
The criteria enables two members of any affiliated club to apply for a bursary within any two year period – meaning that two members of the same club wishing to attend the same course can apply for funding support.
