Tag Rugby is a fun and social minimal contact version of Rugby, generally played in the mixed 7-a-side format. We currently run leagues and events in Bristol, Coventry & Warwickshire, London, Manchester, Thames Valley and Yorkshire year round. Matches last 40 minutes, and venues are conveniently located in areas with good transport links.

Leagues vary in standards, ranging from those aimed at beginners who've never touched a Rugby ball, to experienced players. If you have never played before, why not give it a go at one of our FREE Taster Sessions. These fun and friendly sessions are ideal for anybody who hasn't played Tag Rugby before.

We also hold regular weekend festivals featuring massive after parties.

Registration for leagues, taster sessions and events is open for individuals, groups and teams.

Try Tag Rugby are internationally recognised, being the official UK delegates of the European Tag Federation and the International Tag Federation.

Tag Rugby is a minimal contact team game in which each player wears shorts with velcro patches with two tags attached to them. The mode of play is similar to Touch Rugby with attacking players attempting to dodge, evade and pass a rugby ball while defenders attempt to prevent them scoring by "tagging" - pulling a velcro attached tag from the ball carrier. Ball movement and back line play is actively encouraged in Tag Rugby, the ball is allowed to touch the ground and some kicking is allowed. Try Tag Rugby predominantly use the Oztag rules of Tag Rugby.

If you are interested in getting involved as a player please visit http://www.trytagrugby.com/. We would also be keen to hear from anybody interested in working for us, refereeing for us or setting up a Try Tag Rugby Franchise.
