Nicola Ward

Community Engagement Officer

I joined the team in 2023 having previously worked locally for the Leighton-Linslade School Sports Partnership at Vandyke Upper School. Prior to this, I worked in the Leisure Industry at Dacorum Borough Council for 15 years, starting as a Lifeguard and finishing there as Strategic Sports Manager in the Sports Development Department. I later re-trained as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and worked in schools for 7 years.

I am passionate about all sport and life has taught me that it's not just about the playing, but the friendships, fun and experience you have along the way. It's this message I like to share with the people I meet in my role as Community Engagement Officer for Be Active.
